Our daughter is just entering that delightful stage where she is trying to imitate our silly expressions. It's adorable to watch. Looking into her bright eyes is like gazing into a mirror and seeing our own unspeakable joy smiling back at us. As children of God, we are called to mirror His image as well. Ephesians 5:1... "Therefore be imitators of God (copy Him and follow His example), as well-beloved children (imitate their father)."

Planting & Watering

Over the years, I've heard countless stories of faithful parents persevering in prayer for the salvation of their children. Some see immediate fruit. Others have been prayerfully waiting and watching for many years. Even though our daughter is only six months old, we are already making her salvation a matter of regular prayer. This morning, I was reminded that we are called to pray, to plant seeds and to water, but ultimately it will be God's gentle drawing on her heart that will lead her to Him.
