When I Don't, He Does...

Are you worried about your children? When I start worrying about my daughter, it helps to remind myself that her Heavenly Father understands her needs perfectly and loves her far more deeply than I can begin to imagine. Even when I don't know what is best, I can entrust her perfectly to His watchful care. Besides, He knew her long before I did!

For You did form my inward parts; You did knit me together in my mother's womb. I will confess and praise You for You are fearful and wonderful and for the awful wonder of my birth! Wonderful are Your works, and that my inner self knows right well. My frame was not hidden from You when I was being formed in secret [and] intricately and curiously wrought [as if embroidered with various colors] in the depths of the earth [a region of darkness and mystery]. Your eyes saw my unformed substance, and in Your book all the days [of my life] were written before ever they took shape, when as yet there was none of them. How precious and weighty also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them! Psalm 139:13-17.

Nurture: Engage each member of your family in dinner time conversations by creating a conversation jar (a tip from FamilyFun.com). You can come up with questions yourself or get your kids involved. (Examples: What is your favorite thing about your sister? If you could be any animal, what would you be, and why? What is one kind thing that our family could do for (insert name) this week? ).
